We have 2 methods of manufacturing our custom sized commercial grade sails, which we term light weight and heavy duty. The differences are explained below: Lightweight Commercial Sails Available in a selection of 5 contemporary colours, our light weight sails are constructed from 280gsm extra heavy duty knitted shade cloth. This fabric is ideal for medium to small domestic and commercial sail structures, and provides up to 90% UV protection and a 10 year warranty against UV breakdown of the cloth. Fabric properties are
Light weight sails are reinforced with black 25mm (1”) perimeter seatbelt webbing, and have a 6mm stainless steel ring sewn into each corner for sail affixment purposes. Heavy Duty Commercial Sails Also available in a selection of 14 contemporary colours, our heavy duty sails are our premium flagship product. Constructed from 330gsm extra heavy duty knitted shade cloth, this fabric is ideal for larger domestic and commercial sail structures, and provides up to 95% UV protection and a 10 year warranty against UV breakdown of the cloth. This fabric’s strength to weight ratio makes it ideal for larger commercial shade structure projects, where the shade cloth fabric is exposed to the harsh environmental conditions of wind, rain, hail, dust and UV exposure.
